How to Type Special Characters

To type characters like ‘ß’, ‘¿’, or ‘ç’ during card study, use the Special Character icon on the right side of your screen or the following shortcuts to make the options pop up: ↑ arrow; cmd+k; or ctrl+k keys.

To activate the special characters manually, click on the Special Character icon on the right. In the window that pops up, check the box that reads ‘Pop-up automatically’.

Done! The special characters will pop up on their own every time you type a vowel, a question mark for Spanish, or an ‘s’ for German. It’s almost the same as your smartphone keyboard.
